“Death’s Dress Rehearsal”
“Death’s Dress Rehearsal”
This oil on panel painting is representing that everything is evidently moved internally by an external source. But why? Who and what is this source? Who are we performing for? And who are we trying to impress? Even in death we still want a reputation to uphold. So, we constantly put on a show controlled by anything and everyone but ourselves to feel and reach ultimate praise and satisfaction.

Artist Statement
My name is Abbi Wiscombe, and most of my artwork attributes to life experience, I am thoroughly intrigued with growth and the ability to change and evolve, so my pieces tend to show different characteristics and attributes of the human experience. They are whatever the mind interprets them to be. I'd like to believe time to be extremely valuable, and I could not imagine a better way to spend it than doing something that is never-ending. There are no restrictions, the ideas and creations are limitless so I am excited for what the future holds to continue this journey of self-exploration, and growth through the world of art.
